Al Williams oversees the overall procurement strategy at Barclays, focusing on maximizing the value of all goods and services purchased. He is also responsible for overall performance across the procurement function, including sourcing and category management, purchase-to-pay processes, third-party risk management, procurement sustainability, supplier inclusion, travel and expense management, and market data management. Al drives key procurement-led initiatives and represents Barclays in the marketplace in areas related to supply chain and purchasing. Prior to joining Barclays, Al was chief procurement officer and had oversight over People Mobility at Accenture. Previously, he also worked for Prudential and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley). Al holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in marketing and communications from East Tennessee State University.
